Leather by Crest Leather

Leather Type: Boxer

Boxer is a beautiful creamy leather made on high quality hide. The finish coat is very lightly shaded with a subtle contrasting tone, to bring the colour to life. The finish is silky and luxurious. The substance is slightly thicker than standard at 1.2 mm which gives the hide a quality feel.

Boxer is available in the following:

Caramel

Leather Type: Branco

Branco is a heavily distressed and oily type of leather. Extra fat liquors are applied during tanning, to give the leather its damp oily finish. Additionally the leather is tanned in such a way as to highlight the natural marks and scars found in the hide. Marks are treated to darken them, so that they show clearly through to the topcoat.

Like all Pull-Up leathers, Branco will not have a consistent colour density across the whole hide and is designed to change colour when pulled or stretched. This means that furniture will have a much more relaxed and aged look from new. Branco is not as colour fast as pigmented hides and should be protected from sunlight and not placed next to radiators where it may dry out. Each hide is unique and swatch samples should be regarded as no more than a guide, for this leather.

Branco is available in the following:

Due to the finishing of this type of leather a pleasing aroma is also clearly in evidence. Leather Type: Carnival

Carnival is full grain full aniline leather. As such it is dyed through, and has been given a light toning with aniline dye–just enough to make it resistant to dirt. No colour pigments are used. This totally natural finish displays all the characteristics of real leather. Aniline leather breathes; it is warm to the touch in the winter and cool in the summer. It has a very soft tactile finish, and being totally natural it ages beautifully, and develops an entirely unique look for each piece of upholstered furniture. Frequent use of aniline leather will develop its patina and bring years of satisfaction. Being completely natural, its colour and surface will vary from hide to hide.

Leather Type: Colorado

Colorado is a natural grain, lightly oiled and waxed, pull up hide. The pull up effect however is small, limited by the slightly thicker substance of the hides (1.1 - 1.2mm) and their particular semi aniline tanning process. They have a pleasing and generous handle and a traditional two tone finish, achieved using a two stage colour process. Some stretching can be achieved but the finish is more resistant and robust than other pull up leathers. A very natural and pleasing aroma is in evidence with this type of leather. Colorado is ideal for furniture applications where a pull up look is desired but a more robust finish is needed.
